Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

The questions we get most often about training at House of Hybrid in the Adelaide Hills.

  • Where is House of Hybrid?
We are at 47a Main St, Lobethal SA 5241, in the Adelaide Hills. About 35 minutes from Adelaide CBD via the South Eastern Freeway. On-street parking is available on Main Street.
  • Is there a free trial?
Yes. The free trial is 7 days of unlimited classes plus an intro consult with a coach. You add your card details when you start, training is free for the 7 days, and your membership only kicks in on day 8. Cancel anytime before then and you won't be charged a cent. Hit any "Start 7-day trial" button to get going.
  • Do I need experience to train here?
No. Coaches scale every session to where you are. First-timers and seasoned athletes train side by side. Your first session is about getting your technique right, not loading up a bar.
  • What classes do you run?
S&C (Strength & Conditioning) is our core class, Monday to Friday at 5:00 AM, 6:00 AM, 9:15 AM and 5:15 PM. Open Gym (Program Only) runs weekday mornings 7:00 to 9:00 AM for working your own programme with a coach on the floor. SEND IT is our Saturday hype session at 7:45 AM, high-energy mixed work.
  • How much does it cost?
ALL IN is $49.95 per week for unlimited S&C classes and open gym, our flagship membership. THREE-PACK is $41.95 per week for three S&C classes a week. Prefer to pay as you go? Grab a DROP-IN for $25, or a 10-PACK for $250. Weekly memberships come with a 7-day free trial and no lock-in.
  • How do I book a class?
Classes book through our TeamBuildr portal at houseofhybrid.os.teambuildr.com. We send the link on signup.
  • Who are your coaches?
Kurt (Head Coach, founder) holds Cert III & IV in Fitness and is a former Australian motocross champion and SANFL player. Katy (Founder, Coach) holds Cert III & IV in Fitness, Sebastien Oreb's Strength System 1 to 3, and Hattie Boyles' Training the Female Athlete. Trai (Strength & Conditioning Coach) is completing his Cert IV in Fitness.
  • What should I bring?
Closed-toe athletic shoes, a towel, a water bottle, and clothes you can move in. We have chalk at the gym.
  • Where do members come from?
Members come to us from across the Adelaide Hills, anywhere within about a 30-minute drive: Woodside, Charleston, Mount Torrens, Birdwood, Gumeracha, Hahndorf, Mount Barker, Stirling, Aldgate, Bridgewater, Verdun, Norton Summit, Inglewood, Houghton, Tea Tree Gully and surrounding suburbs.
  • Can I drop in if I am visiting?
Yes. Grab a $25 drop-in online, or a 10-pack if you are around for a while. Any questions, email train@houseofhybrid.com.au and we will sort you out.
  • Is there a contract or lock-in?
Memberships are flexible week to week, with no long-term lock-in. Prefer not to commit at all? The DROP-IN ($25) and 10-PACK ($250) are pay-once, no membership required.
  • What is hybrid training?
Hybrid training combines strength and conditioning in one programme: barbell foundations for capability, plus aerobic and anaerobic capacity for the engine. Built for people who want to lift, run, ride and recover well, not be one-dimensional.
