The House Is Turning Pink

House of Hybrid

Pink Day: Saturday 10 October, 7:15am

The National Breast Cancer Foundation’s numbers are blunt: 1 in 7 Australian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Nearly everyone in the Hills knows someone.

So once a year the House turns pink. One session, everyone in pink, and every dollar raised goes to the NBCF. Last year the town helped us turn a $200 target into $830. This year we want to beat it.

You do not need to be a member. You do not need to be fit. You do not need to do the whole session. Come along, wear pink, put money in the tin. That is the whole job.

Everything about Pink Day

This year’s shirt is live. Gone after 16 September.

The 2026 Pink Day tee: doing cool sh*t for a cause, spiralled in black and pink across the back of a white tee

The 2026 Pink Day shirt is on DARE TO WEAR right now. $40, white, “doing cool sh*t for a cause” across the back, DARE. DREAM. DO. on the chest, and every shirt raises money for the cause.

Made to order: the shop closes on 16 September, the run goes to print, and you collect from the gym in Lobethal in time to wear it on the day. No restocks.

Haunted House: Friday 30 October, 7:00pm

We have never done Halloween. We are doing it now. The gym gets decked out, the lighting gets stupid, and the session is built to be more fun than sensible. Costumes are the point.

Open to everyone, not just members. If you have been curious about what goes on inside the House, an hour in fancy dress is the least intimidating first look you will ever get.

The House Crown: Sunday 6 December

The biggest day on our calendar. Teams of two, a full day of scored events, prizes on the line, and a crown handed over in front of everyone. It is not an elite competition, and spectators are welcome, so bring the family and make a morning of it.

Details and registration are coming. Register your interest now and you will be first to know.

The House Crown

Footy season is winding up. Next season starts now.

Around the Hills the footy year is heading into its final rounds, and the honest truth about next season is that it gets decided over summer. The players who arrive at pre-season strong, conditioned and uninjured are the ones who own the back half of next year.

That work is exactly what the House does: barbell strength plus engine work, coached and scaled, and this winter the floor has had footy players from juniors through to A-grade on it. If you play, or your kid does, the off-season is the time to start.

Strength and conditioning in the Adelaide Hills

Worth a read

New to all this? Two good places to start from our coaches:

What is hybrid training? The method behind the House, explained in plain English.

Sixty seconds for local training

The House has 27 five-star reviews on Google, and those reviews are how the next local finds coached training close to home instead of driving down the hill. If you have trained with us, a quick review takes about a minute and does more than you would think.

That’s edition one. See you in October, in pink.
